David used to be an accountant. After a Parkinson’s diagnosis he turned to dance and over the past three years he's become one of Ascendance's leading artists, with solo and ensemble work shown across Leeds and at The Place in London. He uses his experience of Parkinson's to drive his creativity, and that runs through his piece, Switching, which explores the on and off states of Parkinson's medication, and the unpredictable swing between days when the simplest tasks become a trial and the brief moments when they come easily again.
