About Ascendance
Ascendance is a charity organisation working in the Dance for Health sector, combining professional work with a community dance company, weekly classes and outreach projects.
We have become a regional flagship for our Dance with Parkinson’s programme and work hard to provide a caring and crucial service to our community.

DANCING WITH PARKINSON'S
Since 2017, we have focused our community & participatory work on individuals with long term neurological conditions, many of whom have seen access to supportive therapies, such as physiotherapy reduced & their social networks diminished through isolation & lack of provision.
This year, Ascendance has continued to provide a regular programme of dancing and singing classes for individuals with neurological conditions and has provided vitally important outreach to care homes and hospices, building a strong community of 'Dancers with Parkinson's' across Yorkshire.
