Older People and Creative Digital Inclusion and Innovation

February 18, 2026

"Join us for our free online digital session where we will hear from Researchers, Digital Producers and Project Participants on national projects and research concerning digital inclusion, creativity and older people.

In the session, we will explore answers to the following questions:

  • What opportunities are there for older people to be both participants and co designing partners in creative multi-media projects?
  • What good practice is happening at the moment across accessible digital tools, immersive technology and, following Covid, hybrid practice?
  • And what have been both the challenges and the ingredients for success?

Speakers include, Dr Helen Manchester, from University of Bristol, Carl Stephens, Digital Innovation, Arts Council England, and Sharon Wagg, University of Sheffield and Natalie Haslam, Ascendance and Jen Rhodes, 100% Digital Leeds.

The session will have automated captions via Zoom and British Sign Language Interpretation. Please note this session will be recorded and the recording shared on Hivebrite after the event.
