This year, Ascendance is applying to take part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge, the UK’s biggest online match funding campaign. We’re hoping to raise vital funds for our project Making a Show with our Dance with Parkinson's company.
As part of our application, we need our key supporters to make promises of funding, called ‘Pledges’, which will be used as match funds to double online donations made to our charity during the campaign. Your commitment to funding might also help us to secure additional match funds via a Champion (sourced by the Big Give).
We are aiming to raise a total of £1000 in pledges to take part in the Christmas Challenge. Would you consider making a pledge of £100 to help us reach our target.
If you would be willing to make a pledge to us, you can do so by completing this online form by the extended deadline of Sunday 11th September.

Our Project - Making a Show
Our new "Dance for Parkinson's Company" need your help to make a dance show to be performed to friends and family at St Chad's Parish Centre, Headingley.
Ascendance will put on a community dance show to involve our Dance with Parkinson's community.
This means that our Parkinson’s participants can continue to enjoy the benefits of a group dance session and important social time to help prevent the progression of their disease and to offer important social interaction and an exciting creative project to support their physical & mental health needs.

Key Information for Pledgers!
1. A Pledge is a promise of match funding made to a Charity. The Pledge is conditional on the Charity receiving the equivalent amount in online donations on The Big Give Platform – e.g. if you Pledge £100, you are offering to pay up to that amount to a Charity, dependent on them receiving the equivalent amount in Online Donations. You will not be asked to contribute more than your pledged amount.
2. A Pledge must not fulfilled (i.e. paid to the Charity) until after the Match Funding Campaign has finished and before the Pledge deadline i.e. no earlier than 5pm on 6 December 2022 and no later than noon on 14 January 2023.
3. Pledgers should not make an online donation to the Charity to which they have provided the Pledge during the Match Funding Campaign.
