REVIEW BY RACHEL TONKIN
The Place Theatre

The grace and beauty of this piece was enchanting. In its entirety it had the aura of a dainty fairy story, albeit set to upbeat rhythms. Soleil gently floated along, curiously fringed with a mischievous version of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Three famous art works formed part of the inspiration behind this piece, and The Three Graces certainly sprang to mind even before reading the programme. The three graces in Soleil were powerful enough to lift each other with skilful ease and created the atmosphere of a relaxing afternoon on the beach. Like soothing waves, their movements teased away the aches and pains.
